Music Milestones In My Life
I was thinking back on when i started listening to music and thought i'll make a list out of the most important albums of my life. Not the best but the most important. |
1 | | Metallica Kill Em All
The easy one. This was the first metallica album i heard even though it was released 5 years before i was born. this was like 96 or something.
A friend of my big brother brought it over and i heard it through the door of his room(since i wasnt aloud inside). i was eight and to me this was the heaviest shit i had ever heard. got me into thrash. |
2 | | ZZ Top Greatest Hits
It was a mixtape my dad made when he was young but it contained most of the song on that album. I dont remember what i stuck me but it was the first rock band i got into. and that has to count for something. |
3 | | The Offspring Smash
A friend of mines brother listened to them and we just fell right into it.
It just spoke to us, it was playfull yet angry wich went well with what we were going through as kids. Got me into punk music. |
4 | | Motorhead Overkill
I had heard mot?rhead before but never like this. This album made me a full blown fan with its in your face punk attitude and metal feeling. still my favourite Mot?rhead album. |
5 | | AC/DC Back In Black
Dont know how i first got around listening to it but almost everyone has it.
The basic elements of AC/DC are guitars, partying and girls. Now who doesnt like that!? I was addicted to them for a while and loved every second of it. |
6 | | Spice Girls Spiceworld
Now i dont thing i liked the music that much in 97 but the girls where all over this shit so you had to listen to them. Got my first real girlfriend thanks to this. Thank you spice girls. |
7 | | The Misfits Walk Among Us
The first misfits album i heard was American Psycho and i didnt like it. But when i got my hands on this album i made a 180 and started to love them. To me they where the best old school punk band of all time. They may not have started it but they were really one of a kind and danzig...he just ruled. |
8 | | Backstreet Boys Backstreet Boys
This album made me hate almost everything "mainstream" music had to offer at the time. cunts... |
9 | | Stonegard From Dusk Till Doom
The only band in the 21st century i really liked. All the other bands im obsessed about are from the 70s or 80s. These guys made me change the way i played and thought about metal. |
10 | | Testament Low
I was listening alot to well known thrash at the time but after hearing this i really got into death metal. i know its not a death metal album but the down tuned guitars and growling really left me wanting more. |
