OmairSh 03.24.13	Being open minded imo is giving numerous varied genre's a chance, because most genre's have enjoyable aspects. Secondly I think being open minded means you don't mind if bands you enjoy listening to experiment with their sound and incorporate other genre's into their music.

Mike08 03.24.13	There is no such thing as an unbiased opinion. You may minimalize blatent biases, but you cannot eliminate it. Listen to many different genres and find out what you enjoy, and expand your taste at your own pace. This does not mean you have to like every genre; there are 3 or so I've rarely enjoyed. Finally, enjoy music for its own sake. Don't ignore music because it will make you unpopular, or conversely own an album because it will bring you status.

YankeeDudel 03.24.13	well i try to listen to as many different genres and styles as possible. theres obviously things i prefer but I try to give everything a chance. sometimes things I didnt think id like surprise me, and then ill grow to like it. Id be bored as fuck listening to the same thing over and over. im the type of guy that likes a little bit of everything. i wanna jump all over the place cuz it keeps everything fresh. too many people seem to be pigeonholed. either a metal guy or punk guy or indie guy or electronic guy or alt rock or prog etc etc.
CaptainHadouken 03.24.13	There are a few things out there that do not catch my interest, but for the most part I listen to nearly any genre. Music is to diverse to keep yourself within just one specific type.

' that, i know i only listen to metal and a few rock bands but at least i know a shit load of bands and different fusions of sub genres while most of these so called open-minded guys dont even know what sludge or post metal is.

I think a lot of genres open up when you start playing an instrument though, jazz being the biggest example.

joomisy 06.10.14	Fell in a love with a girl in my class. He hang out sometimes and I guess you can say that we're friends, but we're not that close friends. Or, at least, not as close as I'd want us to be. She's all I can think about these days, I even wrote poems about her, but I'm too scared to tell her how I feel. I guess I'm afraid of what people might say or think of me, which is strange, because I've been insulted so many times in my life that I kind of stopped caring about that sort of stuff. Sometimes, I just wish I could come up to her and tell her all that's in my heart, but I feel such fear inside of me that keeps me from doing that. She's just so perfect in so many ways, she's more of a person than I'll ever be and she's such a good influence on me, but I'm scared of what she might think of me if I tell her all that. I can't believe I'm coming to Sputnik for this kind of advice, but what would you guys do if you were in my position? I could use your help. List is stuff I listen to when I'm depressed, which is all the time these days.
