| Biggest Disappointments Of 2007

Rise of the Tyrant
After coming off a good album, Doomsday Machine, that showed maturity in sound and refined heaviness, this is quite possibly one of the worst melodic death metal albums to come out this year. Besides the solos, the riffs are boring and Angela's vocals have never been so annoying. Seriously disappointed! | | 2 |  | Soilwork
Sworn to a Great Divide

Nocturnal
When I first listened to this, I thought it was a definite step up from their previous works. Even though this may be the case, they break no new ground with this album and thus making it rather boring and dull after 3 or 4 listens. | | 4 |  | Yakuza
Transmutations

Year Zero
More like zero effort from a band that I've grown up with. What a lackluster attempt to create a concept album about an apocalyptic future that has already been done before......does Fear Factory's older albums come to mind? Or look at God Forbid's last album they put out. To think they could get any worse then With Teeth would have been uncalled for. Sorry, biggest disappointment of 2007. | | 6 |  | As I Lay Dying
An Ocean Between Us
After hearing the song Within Destruction, I thought that AILD were going for a more thrashy approach. How wrong was I when I picked this piece of shit up and realized they followed down the same generic path that most metalcore bands are following today. | | 7 |  | Mayhem
Ordo Ab Chao
Sloppy song writing and poor vocal delivery made it hard to even get through this album once. Previous albums to this were superb, but Mayhem just got lazy and decided to barf into the microphone and hit record. | | 8 |  | Foo Fighters
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Colour and the Shape and their other previous records were all excellent alternative rock albums. So why check out this album if you already own a few other Foo Fighter albums. This album is no step in any direction. Just boring song after boring song after boring song. | | 9 |  | Smashing Pumpkins

12.29.07 | k this is in response to the scathing comment u made to one of my lists. Now maybe I should have backed up better why I disliked the bands i put on my Terrible Bands list. I probably did sound hypocritical by not giving a detailed reason why i disliked the band. You did explain well and backed up your reasons, and i never said u did but i just disagree with you on it. It doesnt make you wrong and me right, i just felt that some of the albums weren't big dissapointments. I thought u were being unfair to 10 and 5, saying u were being a little bitch was being unfair to u, so I apologize about it. Though I probably need to no more about music. I am only 14 and have only been listening to music for 2 years. You are probably an older teenager and have a deeper music taste.
If I offended you for what i said the i apologize, but its just fucking impolite to say my opinion in music sucks and that im such a hypocrite. You dont know me and every little thing about my music tastes. If your mad about what I said then you should go around solving it better. 06.17.08 | I thought Rise of the Tyrant was Co-Album of the Year (couldn't choose between it and Sanctity's debut), I agree with what you said about An Ocean Between Us, but it wouldn't be on a "dissapointments of the year" list. And Minutes to Midnight was a gigantic flop, I'd put it higher even though noone expected too much out of it anyway.
