Difference between decrim. and regulation is that decrim simply means that there's no criminal charge if you're caught with it (which is how it already was in Denver). Regulation means that they will start growing it, selling it in stores, taxing it, and you can buy it just like alcohol (with probably similar rules).
And yeah, there's already immediate talk about how this kind of goes against Federal Law. But it has to be taken to court...and to tell the truth, I think Obama will want to see how it plays out. Why not go ahead and do some scientific research on what happens in states where MJ is legalized? |
