10.04.12 | how about some albums that needs reviewzzzzz |
Trebor.
10.04.12 | You should start with a lower profile album, perhaps one that doesn't already have a review because you won't get as
much shit if the review isn't that great.
People tend to dive right into a super hyperbolic amateurish 5/5 review which usually doesn't end well |
menawati
10.04.12 | not many people read those tho, might be better for a first one something reasonably popular ? |
XingKing
10.04.12 | Agreeing with the everyone above me. Please review something that doesn't already have 5 reviews.
I'm sure reviewing something without a review that the users actually like will get you feedback. Regardless, if it's on the front page, people will read it. |
Trebor.
10.04.12 | "not many people read those tho"
That's my point, you don't want too many people to see your first review cuz it might not be very good |
menawati
10.04.12 | ye fair point |
Trebor.
10.04.12 | Well I do remember this guy saying he's a writer so his review will probably be pretty good for a first so idk |
menawati
10.04.12 | well really if you review something thats popular on sput and do a half decent job itll be posed to fuk anyway by loads of people who wont even read the review |
MO
10.04.12 | write a 5 review for 11 and i'll pos the shit out of it so that's a good start yea |
menawati
10.04.12 | so if you want people to read it and give honest opinion best to keep it short and make it something not well known |
Atari
10.04.12 | Do it brother we need more good reviewers.
Also agreed with everything captain said especially number 5. (unless of course you get a bunch of troll negs which is different) |
XingKing
10.04.12 | Does anyone else write reviews all the time in their head while they waste away at work or something similar? I write these in depth ones and then I never bother to actually type them out later (as noted by my 0 reviews) |
menawati
10.04.12 | i do nearly all my reviews at work xing |
DarkSideOfLucca
10.04.12 | Thanks for all the advice, guys! |
Atari
10.04.12 | i do reviews at work some time too but I'm trying to do them at night so I don't get fired lol.
and XingKing, you should write up a review man. |
Trebor.
10.04.12 | I've been writing most of mine on paper during my break at school

Eclecticist
10.04.12 | "how about some albums that needs reviewzzzzz"
This. Fill holes in the system, don't water-down certain albums like 1 by adding a 15th review |
Atari
10.04.12 | Review whatever you want man. Although albums with less reviews are ideal, sometimes when you review an unknown album you won't get any comments anyways. |
menawati
10.04.12 | make sure u use the word 'sophomore' at some point, i avoided it for ages but relented eventually |
Calc
10.04.12 | "how about some albums that needs reviewzzzzz"
This [2]
writing reviews for albums that have 5 or more already can come across as pandering or just doing it for the comment hits. If that's your thing however go ahead. I like reviewing more unknown stuffs myself |
menawati
10.04.12 | I dunno, its sometimes fun to do stuff thats well known as long as you try to make it a bit different, best is to mix some of those with newer releases and old personal favorites that have no review yet. If all you do is obscure stuff it gets kinda soul-destroying unless u are a well known reviewer who people want to read. |
menawati
10.04.12 | who is the retard ? |
DarkSideOfLucca
10.04.12 | Well, I didn't start on an unknown album like a lot suggested...I'll do that for my second review tomorrow
But for now, here's my first review
