Suspiria and Deep Red also didn't make this list which makes me :( And I don't really consider Predator a horror film, it's more of an unsettling action scifi And [rec] pwns
DarkSideOfLucca 09.13.12	Evil Dead II is more enjoyable as a fun film, but The Evil Dead is more effective as a horror film if that makes any sense.... And Hellraiser is great for nostalgic purposes and all, but it is quite flawed when compared to a lot of other horror films imo, I fucking hate the term "dated" but I actually think it applies here
EyesWideShut 09.13.12	i would rate The Exorcist number due to the fact that it really is a masterpiece of horror and to this day they're are Christians that will not watch that film. Not to mention the legendary reactions it got during its release.

If you're into foreign and classic horror flims I'll recommend you a few you might have not seen yet: Carnival of Souls Diabolique Eraserhead Häxan House (not exactly a horror film, but maybe you'll like) Jigoku Kwaidan Onibaba Peeping Tom The Brood The Skin I Live in (largely inspired by Eyes Without a Face) The Tenant (better Polanski than Rosemary's Baby in my opinion) The Vanishing Videodrome I give you my word as a film-buff, you should seriously check these movies out dude. Amazing stuff 8-)

72haha72 09.13.12	Polanski has always been a consistently great director. Too bad he has a bad reputation. The Fearless Vampire Killers is great; it's cleverly funny and has a flawless atmosphere. In my opinion all of his movies are worth checking out, the weakest ones are most definitely Pirates and The Ninth Gate.

72haha72 09.13.12	I kind of enjoyed The Ninth Gate. I don't think it's a bad movie, I just find its second half very weak compared to the first. I was really hooked by the beginning of the picture but the payoff was a bit of a letdown for me. I would really like to see Polanski making another film dealing with satanic stuff like Rosemary's Baby and The Ninth Gate though, that would be awesome.

That movie is an exceptional parody of all the cliches of the genre, all the while intentionally exploiting it all to be miles better than everything it's mocking. It's a good horror movie but it's also fucking hilarious and one of the few breaths of fresh air in the genre within the last decade or so.
