I agree with this slightly. Tool is arguably the best mainstream band in a while. I compare them with Pink Floyd in the regard that their style of music usually isnt meant for the mainstream, but they found ways to add enough hooks into the prog to blow up.
Tool deserves all the praise they get to me. They came with a fresh unique sound and influenced a lot of bands. Everyone in the band has their own distinctive style. Who cares how overrated or underrated a band is. Thats all anyone seems to add to any discussion. |
