| Recent Uk Music Scene
Well recently the good old british scene has been moving a lot , here are the most known bands rrcausing this movement , if you know others (and there are many others) please feel free to tell rrme .There is no order whatsoever , these are pretty much all worth checking. | 9 | | Turbowolf Turbowolf
This is personally the UK band I'me following the most, currently , If I Would to
describe this band it would say this : Stoner punk band wich an electronic edge ,
coupled with great vocals and diversity . Needless to say I am being objective
otherwise I would Say : This band is the shit ! go and check them out now ya
bastard!
Their artwork is also neat and they sell great T-Shirts for a tenner!
Seriously though they are worth your time. | 8 | | Hawk Eyes Ideas
No ! don't let the cover that looks like disturbed's ten thousand fists fool you , this
band and album is very interesting for any fan of metal , it packs diversity with
influences from noise , punk , alternative , hardcore and metal . for those who
have enjoyed melvins , unsane and dillinger esc plan (yep they even have those
kind of insane moments). | 7 | | Exit_International Black Junk
Really excited about this one , even though I don't get the bands name , The band
consists of two singers, two basses , a drum ,and that's it.... well who needs guitars
anyway ! seriously if you like total spastic lyrics and a heavy bass sound you
should give a look upon them , the sound in itself is a mix between Girls Against
Boys and Blood brothers (as said in a review) with punk and a tad of post-hardcore
, just a tad , honest. | 6 | | Dinosaur Pile-Up Growing Pains
Rock and Grunge influenced Trio , great energy, great guitar work and a really fun
band overall | 5 | | The Computers This is The Computers
A mix of influences including garage , punk , bues , and hardcore , Whatever ...
The bands incorporates these influences very well so if you liked fun bands like the
hives you will love this. | 4 | | These Monsters Call Me Dragon
A great blend of Experimental , alternative rock , and badass riffs , these monsters
have a knack for creating atmosphere so if you like all the qualities I cited above ,
grab Call Me Dragon | 3 | | Castrovalva We Are A Unit
I don't exactly what Noise Hop (as said by wikipedia to describe this bands noise) is
,but these guys pack in an interesting sound that's close to hardcore but with hip-
hop in it , Not my cup of tea but check it out Anyway ! | 2 | | Future Of The Left The Plot Against Common Sense
Had doubts compared to Mclusky , but Andy Falkous proved me completly wrong
with The Plot Against Common Sense , high quality lyrics and songwriting are within
this four piece noise-punk act. | 1 | | Pulled Apart By Horses Pulled Apart By Horses
Well you probably know them , great live performance for often very fun post-
hardcore. | |

07.05.12 | First List. | cryMore
07.05.12 | 2 rules. 3 sounds interesting, is it like Death Grips? | MaskAtTheMasquerade
07.05.12 | rad list, gotta check these out | thumbcrusher
07.05.12 | i've only heard a couple of these i'll try to check some more out as i'd like some good uk stuff. a lot of our scene is shitty metalcore bands | omnipanzer
07.05.12 | Great list, best first list ever? | MrElmo
07.05.12 | CryMore not really , don't know death grips very well but Castrovalva is a little less electro oriented | MrElmo
07.05.12 | Where you from thumbcrusher? | MrElmo
07.05.12 | cheers omnipazer , felt like it was time to lurk a little less and do something constructive | omnipanzer
07.05.12 | Don't get high hopes about being constructive. You'll just get depressed about how much of a time sync this place really is. ;^D | scissorlocked
07.05.12 | yeah, that's a nice list
that turbowolf album must be great | MrElmo
07.05.12 | advice taken ^^ | MrElmo
07.05.12 | yeah scissorlocked , try a rose for the crows or the big cut from them | Skrapyard
07.05.12 | Legion Blotan | MrElmo
07.05.12 | not a fan of black metal but i'll make an exception , cheers mate | thumbcrusher
07.05.12 | i'm from the uk too elmo! | MrElmo
07.05.12 | well i'me not actually x) , i'me from france but I prefer the UK music scene , still I could make a similar list for france , we have a lot of ska-punk and post-metal going on | MrElmo
07.05.12 | there's also a UK band I forgot to put : the herbaliser for jazz/trip hop fans , they aren't recent but deserve more listens | scissorlocked
07.05.12 | wasn't France just swallowed by all that Gojira hype?
do that list man | thumbcrusher
07.05.12 | oh right haha
yeah the uk's music is pretty mixed i guess, it depends on what you like really how good it is, there's some good rock stuff on the more experimental side, as you've shown. but in terms of modern metal it's not very good at all. | omnipanzer
07.05.12 | I'd like to see a french ska list... tomorrow maybe? | MrElmo
07.05.12 | actually we were , the gojira beast was in every french music store , I'll try and make that list but first I should actually put
these french bands in the database , sputnik has almost no fench bands in the database at all , wich is dumb , We aren't
all limited to gojira , trust and the shit pop my country keeps fabricating | MrElmo
07.05.12 | omnipazer I'll see what I can do
thumbcrusher yeah, apart from the english heavy-metal wave I can't recall many other great british metal acts , britain has always been awesome at punk and experimenting (country where throbbing gristle is born) , but I'me sure there's good metal around | MrElmo
07.05.12 | nope pogrom are french , (i'll add them when i'll do a french list , don't worry ^^) | MrElmo
07.05.12 | actually their seem to be multiple pogroms , from lithuania and poland . | MrElmo
07.05.12 | probably i am the last one you will see , i can easily imagine it featured in one of fat pie's videos | sifFlammable
07.05.12 | I've been seriously curious of this, but more on the electronic side. Can any poms here step up and represent? | MrElmo
07.05.12 | any poms? what does that mean?
| sifFlammable
07.05.12 | ...the british contingent
basically, i want to know what the new big thing in their electronic scene is | MrElmo
07.05.12 | I'me affraid I wouldn't be able to help you here , I don't listen to many full electronics , the only exception being industrial music (althought if your not scared of venturing back in the past ,listen to coil and ''Love's secret domain'' or ''Horse Retrovator'' ) | Dolving999
07.05.12 | 8 is so awesome, they're the new Mastodon.
On the heavier side, I really like Architects and loved Johnny Truant, but they've broken up, sadly. | TheFonz123
07.05.12 | i'll consider featuring this | MrElmo
07.05.12 | hey cheers ! | MrElmo
07.05.12 | agreed dolving , i've always had doubts about architects , I love Mathcore but I heard they are closer to grind (witch I can't stand) is it true? as for johny truant I never heard of him. | TheFonz123
07.06.12 | johnny truant is a really good metalcore band named after a character from a really good book | Deviant.
07.06.12 | Yeah I'll be honest, I clicked on this list expecting to see some Night Slugs, maybe a little Julio Bashmore and Disclosure maybe
"basically, i want to know what the new big thing in their electronic scene is"
It's all house and funky at the moment | MrElmo
07.06.12 | Deviant: Yep I'me sorry Deviant I'me affraid that I don't know anything on the electro scene at all apart from old
industrial.
TheFonz123:You actually caught my interest on the book , what is it about? | MrElmo
07.06.12 | Ok so for the ones who wanted the french scene list I'll make one in a week but half of the bands won't be in the database so it'll probably be symbolic.... | thumbcrusher
07.06.12 | you can add them to the database! | MrElmo
07.06.12 | how do I do that? (yes I really am an idiot) | thumbcrusher
07.06.12 | on your profile page on the left under 'quick links' there's an option which says 'add a band or
album' and you just click on that and go through the steps. after that you just have to wait for the
mods to confirm it then it's done | MrElmo
07.06.12 | ok , I'll start doing my work then | TheFonz123
07.06.12 | read it | greg84
07.07.12 | Awesome list bro. I dig everything I've heard from it. 9 are great live too... and 8 is currently my album of the year. I'll check out the ones I'm not familiar with. | greg84
07.07.12 | Ah and I'd include Therapy?, Orange Goblin, Gentlemens Pistols, 40 Watt Sun, You Slut!, The Joy Formidable and Stubb among others. | MrElmo
07.08.12 | glad you like it , damn I knew I was missing a bunch of bands , cheers | MrElmo
07.08.12 | Finally finished the french list |
