09.22.07 | Never actually been exposed to thrash but angel of death is an anthem of mine, been meaning to get some early megadeth. |
LifeInABox
09.22.07 | its big 4 buddy, and it includes Anthrax. |
aryan0219
09.22.07 | not in my world! that was not a mistake. if i were to add a fourth it would Testament |
cometuesday
09.22.07 | Anthrax isn't that great.
Yeah, I said it. |
DaveBum69
09.22.07 | anthrax are great, but there just very odd when you compare the to slayer, metallica and megadeth, the really kinda more punk rooted, there not as technical idk thats my opinion |
Eakflanderyof
09.22.07 | Eh, Anthrax are pretty terrible tbh. For Who the Bell Tolls isn't that great and I've always thought that Sweating Bullets was a terrible song. Good list otherwise. |
ASberg
09.22.07 | Well even if anthrax are bad they still are in the big four...would replace leper messiah, no remorse with blackened/damage inc and one. Otherwise good list. |
Zoo
09.22.07 | Anthrax sucks so much ass it's not even funny and they don't deserve to be considered a member of the "Big Four". Testament is much more fitting for that slot.
Tesament >>> Anthrax. All day. |
LifeInABox
09.22.07 | yes, it doesn't matter what people think of Anthrax, and you can't just make up your own big 4. Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth are considered the legit "big four" of thrash metal. |
aryan0219
09.22.07 | anthrax put out one decent album (among the living). Peace Sells.., Reign in Blood, and Master of Puppets are albums that defined the genre. Anthrax is not even in their league. I challenge anyone to name an Anthrax album that comes even close to New World Order or Practice What You Preach. Testament deserves that slot in history. Scott Ian vs Alex Skolnick. Think about that |

09.22.07 | Who influenced who rontard? |
tinathefatlard
09.22.07 | The scream in the intro to Angel of Death is very appropriate for a song written about Dr Josef Mengele |
Dethtrasher
09.22.07 | Anthrax is cool thrash. But if I could replace Anthrax with another band I would pick Testament, Exodus or maybe Vio-Lence. Good list. |
Yazz_Flute
09.22.07 | Tornado oof Souls is awesome. |
Lunarfall
09.23.07 | Anthrax are better than Slayer for sure, and can even be better than Metallica and Megadeth at some times. Don't be a biased fanboy.
Good list though, although I don't like some of the Slayer choices. |
SylentEcho
09.23.07 | these are not the big three according to me. |
rattlehead42147
09.23.07 | try big 4 you fucking idiot. |
rattlehead42147
09.23.07 | actually make that big 5 because i agree with your testament comment. |
aryan0219
09.24.07 | rattlehead you are a jerkoff everyone knows that. hey143, fanboy? Name one album from anthrax that can stand against anything Slayer has done. You are most likely a rap fan not a metal fan to make that idiotic statement |
rattlehead42147
09.26.07 | why dont you try among the living, its better than SOH. |
aryan0219
09.30.07 | you are the most ignorant pile of shit i have ever had the displeasure to converse with. Take among the living and shove it in your ass you fag. SOH pisses on anthrax and you!! |
epizoan
10.03.07 | Anthrax just took the genre in a different direction. Scott Ian can jam with the best of them. Look at S.O.D., Joey Belladonna was their mistake and the made things worse with John Bush. Persistence of Time is a great album as well as well as Among the Living. Can't rip on a bands merits just because you don't like their style. (and Anthrax is included in the Big 4) They just weren't commercial, like two out of the other three. And Metallica went to shit. |
