y'all are trippin'. lyrics can be too obvious, and it isn't quite what would it could be,
but for how generic this is willing to be, its extremely unique at the same time. almost no
one else making hooks like this in this style.

I think this is solid. It veers more into the denser, darker songwriting of something like EotE. Very aggressive with on the nose lyrics, but it fits the tone.

The last two songs offer a bit more promise but the re-tooled single opener is a total miss, followed by two dull b-sides. Glimpses of an EOTE sequel in the better songwriting here, but we're a ways off if this is where we're at.

Honestly, this newer sound they've evolved towards over the last few albums is so boring. I can't quite put my finger on why it falls flat compared to their earlier material but something is just missing.
