Zeebra is a successful Japanese rapper that first came to super stardom in 1999. Originally a member of the influential group,
King Giddra, the group split in 1996, leaving Zeebra to embark on a solo career. In 1998, he released his raw, rugged debut

Days". Its poppy rap-rock sound revolutionized the Japanese mainstream music scene, and, not only made Dragon Ash bona fide
superstars, but also Zeebra. In 2000, he signed with Polydor, and released his second album, "Based on a True Story". The
album was a commercial smash, peaking at number 3 on the Oricon charts. From there on, Zeebra proved to be one of hip hop's
major figureheads in Japan, and, along with Kreva, is one of the most commercially successful solo rappers in Japan today. « hide |
