Velvet Eden are a well known darkwave visual kei group that originally formed in 1997. Initially, Velvet Eden was a duo, consisting of Dada on vocals and Kalm on production. However, once Kalm left the group in mid 2000, Velvet Eden adopted a more deathrock influenced style, with the duo lineup expanding into a full band lineup. This style would continue to be Velvet Eden's usual sound, until their initial split in 2002. However, in 2010, Velvet Eden ended up reuniting, which showed the group abandoning their deathrock style for their original darkwave sound. Original producer Kalm even temporarily rejoined the group, until he left again in 2014.
