Tom Tom Club

Tom Tom Club is a Talking Heads spin-off group, consisting of core members bassist Tina Weymouth and drummer Chris Frantz. Their 1981 self-titled debut is now widely acknowledged as a cult classic, having been sampled or referenced by a dizzying array of artists, including Mariah Carey, Mark Morrison, Le Tigre, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Grandmaster Flash, Tupac, and Redman. In 2012, Tom Tom Club released their fifth full length album, "Downtown Rockers", which is their first full album in over a decade. They are still known to tour quite regularly, 30+ years after their initial formation.
