The Rock Band was a Japanese post-punk band. First formed in 1986 immediately after the disbandment of legendary punk
group Anarchy (which most of the members of The Rock Band were in), The Rock Band notably had a much more experimental
sound than Anarchy, often experimenting with elements of new wave, funk, punk rock and avant-garde. After releasing only two
albums and a few singles, The Rock Band ended up disbanding in 1990.
