Sugar Hiccup is an underground Filipino rock band that formed in 1994. Heavily influenced by Cocteau Twins ("Sugar Hiccup" being one of their songs), the group exploded out of the underground Filipino music scene with their extremely unique mixture of progressive rock, shoegaze and dream pop. The group, however, went on a hiatus in 1999 when frontwoman, Melody del Mundo, left the group to move to the United States. However, in 2006, Sugar Hiccup reunited (sans del Mundo), and released "Of Tongues and Thoughts", their newest album since 1998's "Womb". The group is currently working on their long-awaited fourth album.
