Sports were a Japanese alternative rock band that formed in 2001. Within a few years, Sports proved to be one of the dominant
forces in the Japanese indie circuit, and were well known for their semi-optimistic style, mixed in with slight melancholia-based
elements. The group have been on an indefinite hiatus since 2007.
