Shame was a Japanese alternative rock band that first formed in 1994. The group got their first big break when they were noticed by visual kei icon hide in 1997, and worked with the legend until his untimely death in 1998. Shame went on to recordand release a few albums and singles until their sudden disbandment in 2002. In 2006, the group returned, only to disband once more in 2009.
