Mold (POL)

Mold was a nu metal/alternative band from Poland that first formed in 1997. In 2002, they released their first album, which was self-titled, and which garnered strongly positive reviews from rock critics. Despite its overwhelmingly positive reception and the band’s popularity, they ran into issues when 3/5ths of the band left in late 2003. The remaining members would eventually record and release another album in 2004, “Alchemia”, which would cause a lawsuit from founding member Rafal Chalgasiewicz, who left in 2003 and who claimed the version of Mold that recorded “Alchemia” was copyright infringement. This lawsuit would last until 2006 when the judge ruled in favor of Chalgasiewicz, and Mold essentially folded afterwards.
