Shockingly, at the top of her fame, Mia X wound up disappearing entirely from the rap industry in 1999. She temporarily returned, however, in 2008, appearing on former No Limit artist C-Murder's album "Screamin' 4 Vengeance", and soon after, announced her plans to release a new full length album and mixtape, both of which were scheduled to be released sometime in 2011. Unfortunately, Mia X then announced in 2012 via Twitter that she was returning to her retirement, and the supposed album and mixtape wouldn't be released. She has since remained out of the public eye. « hide
