LaLuna, or La Luna, is an indie pop band from Indonesia that first formed in early 2000. In November of 2000, after not even a
year of activity, LaLuna released their first album, “Penggalan Kisah Lama”, which was an underground smash, and received vast
acclaim for its sound, which mostly followed a light, jazzy, lounge style. LaLuna would go on to develop a massive cult following
throughout the 2000’s, reaching their commercial and critical peak with their 2003 “Menanti Pagi” album. Beginning in 2012,
LaLuna’s activities greatly decreased, and the group entered a mysterious hiatus in 2014, which they still appear to be in today.
