John Zorn, Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson

John Zorn is an avant-garde musician who generally works within the boundaries of jazz. His career has seen him record some of the noisiest, most ferociously experimental music in the genre, often inspired by grindcore and hardcore punk (particularly when recording with Naked City, the band he formed in 1988 with several other experimental jazz musicians). He has also written several film scores and a handful of classical compositions. Lewis Allan "Lou" Reed (March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013) was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He was the guitarist, vocalist, and principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground, and his solo career spanned five decades. Laura Phillips "Laurie" Anderson (born June 5, 1947) is an American avant-garde artist, composer, musician and film director whose work spans performance art, pop music, and multimedia projects. She's a pioneer in electronic music and who has invented several devices that she has used in her recordings and performance art shows. Anderson started dating Lou Reed in 1992, and was married to him from 2008 until his death in 2013.
