Helcaraxë is an underground epic death metal band from New Jersey, United States, that formed in 2003. Originally starting under the moniker Minas Tirith, they quickly changed their name to Helcaraxë, drawing inspiration from the perilous, frozen "Grinding Ice" wasteland in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion.
