Death in June

After splitting from 1970s British punk band, Crisis, Douglas Pearce and Tony Wakeford formed Death in June in 1981 with PatrickLeagas. With this band, they helped create the genre of music known as neo-folk (or noir or apocalyptic folk). Tony Wakefordleft the band in 1983 to form his own personal vision, Sol Invictus, that carried on the same sensibilities. Patrick Leagas became Patrick O-Kill and formed the Sixth Comm in 1985. Douglas P. has continued Death in June even to the present from Australia.
