Endtroducing was also the first album ever to consist entirely of samples from other records, ensuring for itself a place in
history. His other solo albums include Preemptive Strike, a compilation released in 1998 of his career up to that
point, and The PrivatePress, his second full length album. DJ Shadow was also the key force behind UNKLE's
Psyence Fiction, which featuredappearances by luminaries including Thom Yorke, Richard Ashcroft and Mike D of
The Beastie Boys. Other collaborations include those withBlackaliciousand former [L]Rage Against The
Machine[/L] front man Zack De La Rocha. His third full length album, The Outsider came out inSeptember 2006 to
mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. The album took a lot of its sound from the new "Hyphy" movement, and is said to
take amore hip hop approach with daunting genre jumping, a departure from the ambient, sample based music that made
him famous. « hide |
