D&D was a successful all-female electropop Japanese idol group that first formed in 1995. After seeing the potential of one of the vocalists, Olivia,
world-renowned producer Tetsuya Komuro reportedly isolated her away from the group, and decided to start up her solo career, in late 1998. The
remaining two members, Aya and Chika, kept the D&D name alive, but after two more singles under the name, "Aya & Chika from D&D", the duo then
split in 1999, and so did the D&D name. D&D only released one album, "Love is a Melody ~D&D Memorial 1st~", in March of 1998.
