D4L was a four-member hip-hop group from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2003, it would only take the group two years to conquer
the hip-hop universe, thanks to the monstrous success of their debut single "Laffy Taffy", which topped the Billboard charts,
and also broke the top 100 charts of Ireland, New Zealand and Germany. It was even parodied on the hit television series, "The
Boondocks", in 2008. "Laffy Taffy" eventually went three-times platinum in the U.S., and their second single,"Betcha Can't Do It
Like Me", although was far less successful in terms of chart ranking, still went gold. D4L ended up disintegrating in 2006, and
Shawty Lo arguably became the most well known member to emerge from the D4L disbandment.
