CKY is an American rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. CKY is an abbreviation for "Camp Kill Yourself", a name which is mean to lampoon the sort of slasher horror films that frontman Deron Miller was a fan of, without intending the name to be violent or offensive. The band garnered some initial recognition through their contributions to the CKY video series and Jackass tv show, both of which feature CKY drummer Jess Margera's brother Bam Margera. Their sound can be described as a hybrid of many differing music genres including post-grunge, hard rock, stoner metal and skate punk. This is largely driven by Deron Miller and Chad Ginsburg's unique guitar tone, riffs, and arrangements.
