Atrophia Red Sun were a heavy metal band from Poland, that originally formed in 1994. The group is probably known best for including members from the (now) popular metal group, Decapitated, in their lineup. Initially, the musical style of Atrophia Red Sun followed a gothic-doom metal style, akin to Theatre of Tragedy. However, by the early 2000's, the group adapt a more industrial-like style, which sounded similar to the likes of The Kovenant. In 2005, Atrophia Red Sun ended up disbanding, although currently, the group was revived, reportedly as a duo of keyboardist VX and guitars from Kastor, who used to be a member of the groups Sceptic and Lux Occulta.
