9dw is a rock group from Japan that first formed in 1997. Originally known as Nine Days Wonder, the group was initially an alternative act which had
an emotionally-charged, melancholic blend of emo and post-hardcore. When everyone left Nine Days Wonder in 2004 besides frontman Kensuke Saito,
Nine Days Wonder became Saito's own solo project. Changing the group's name to 9dw, Saito then changed its style rather heavily, and greatly

attention, and the project then made its overseas debut at the 2009 SXSW music festival in Texas. Soon afterwards, 9dw had their self-titled debut re-
released on the NYC label Wax Poetics Records. 9dw remain active today under Saito's electronic vision, and the project has since become one of the
