Their success kept getting bigger, and in 1996, thegroup released two albums, "BeatOut!" & "Beloved", both of which debuted at number 1. "Beloved", in particular, went on to sell over a million copies.By thistime, Glay became a household name, and one of the main figureheads of the visual kei movement, alongside fellow visual kei juggernauts Luna Sea, L'arc-en-Ciel and Sharan Q. Their 1997 compilation album, "Review", sold over 5 million copies, thus solidifying Glay as easily being the mostsuccessful act under the Platinum Records label. In the years to come, Glay would experiment withvarious genres, breaking their comfort zone of poprock and power pop. Some of those genres would include progressive rock, symphonic rock, reggae, gospel and hard rock. Today, Glay are consideredto be one of the most influential and successful rockbands in, not just Japan, but Asia as a whole. « hide
