The Fall of Troy is a three-piece prog-hardcore outfit from Mukliteo, WA, outside of Seattle. The Fall of Troy's began asafour-piecescreamo/hardcoreband under the banner of The Thirty Years War with extra guitarist and vocalist MikeMunro.During the life of TheThirty YearsWar, two EPs wereindependently put out, one titled 'Martyrs Among the Casualties'and theother a live EP titled 'Live at theParadox'. Guitarist Thomas Erak is known for his extremely fast style of playing and his use ofeffectspedals, often being comparedtoOmar Rodriguez ofthe Mars Volta. The Fall of Troy is often characterized by thealternatingvocals of Erak and bassist Tim Ward, Erak'svocalextremes, ranging from asoothing singing voice to a harshshriek, and hisalmost excessive use of effects.In November 2007, bassist/vocalist Tim Ward left the band and was replaced by Frank "Black" Ene of the band "...Of Stalwart Fads."In February 2010 the band announced that they were breaking up.In 2013 the band reunited.
