Formerly known as K. Dot, Kendrick Lamar (born June 17, 1987) is a rapper from Compton, California.His music is influenced by Tupac Shakur, JAY-Z, Rakim, Nas and DMX. He is a member of Black Hippy along with Jay Rock, Ab-Soul andSchoolboy Q.He released an EP in 2009 titled Kendrick Lamar EP, and an acclaimed mix tape in 2010 titled O(verly) D(edicated). His debut album Section.80was released on July 2nd of 2011 and was met with very favorable reviews.
