Fear

Fear is a punk band started in 1977 from LA. The members claimed they weren't punks but the punk scene was exploding andthey were musicians. Lee Ving, their lead singer was an aspiring actor. A few of the band members went to community collegeto learn "formal music", and upon forming it was jokingly claimed they were going to be the first punk band with talent. Whatmakes their band what they are is that they were quirky and sarcastic and insult their audience. In one notorious incident, theywere invited onto SNL thanks to John Belushi, a fan of Fear. Afterwards, SNL stopped hosting punk acts.
