The Sugarhill Gang is an American hip hop group, known mostly for their biggest hit and hip hop anthem, "Rapper's Delight", which was the first hip hop single recorded to become a Top 40 hit. They are also known for their 1982 single "Apache", which was made its way into pop culture memory thanks to a famous scene in the hit sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Originally active from 1973 until 1985, The Sugarhill Gang have been active once more since 1994.
