Robert Fripp

Though best known for being the only consistent member in legendary rock band King Crimson's nearly 40-year history, guitarist Robert Fripp has a number of musical side projects, not the least of which being solo recordings of his Soundscape series. Fripp's Soundscape technique is an updated version of a technology developed in the early '70s which Fripp playfully referred to as "Frippertronics," a tape delay system allowing Fripp to play a guitar part, which would then be recorded by one tape deck and sent to another tape deck to be played back.
