Mission of Burma

A post-punk band from Boston, Massachussetts, Mission of Burma was made up of Roger Miller on guitar, Clint Conley on bass, Peter Prescott on drums, and Martin Swope doing tape loops and effects. It's music was unique, and mixed many different elements together, including odd time signatures, tape loops/effects, and dynamic shifts. The band's greatest achievements were 1981's Signals, Calls, and Marches EP, and 1982's Vs. LP. The group reformed in 2002, using Shellac's Bob Weston in place of Swope.
