In an angry email response to an "incredibly rude" blogger at RaisedByGypsies.com, Michelle Zauner of the emo/indie band Little Big League made a statement that is perhaps the perfect summary for her solo output under the moniker Japanese Breakfast: "I release cassettes because all of these songs were lo fi unmastered bedroom pop songs I recorded with GarageBand and make more sense to release on cassettes.
