Twisted Method began in 1998 with Derrick 'Tripp' Tribbet on vocals, Andy Howard on guitar, Derek DeSantis on bass, and Ben Goins on drums. 4 guys living in Cape Coral (Coma) Florida with nothing to do but play music with dreams of going big. Twisted Method began in 1998 with Derrick 'Tripp' Tribbet on vocals, Andy Howard on guitar, Derek DeSantis on bass, and Ben Goins on drums. 4 guys living in Cape Coral (Coma) Florida with nothing to do but play music with dreams of going big. Starting off playing at every possible place they could, their fame grew and eventually, they found themselves going from a high school stage to being one of the best new bands of Ozzfest 2003, selling more CDs than any other second stage band that year. Their first (and only) release, Escape From Cape Coma, was released on July 15, 2003...one week into Ozzfest's tour.They would go on to play with bands such as Nothingface, Dope, Mushroomhead, 40 Below Summer, Motograter, Slaves on Dope, Machinehead, any several others.After touring and becoming well-known their 'inmate' fan base grew to extremes that the band could have never imagine. Ready to record their 2nd full length album, events took place that would never allow that to happen.In January of 2004, Andy became the father of twin girls and took leave from the band to spend time with his new family. Not too much later on, Ben Goins decided to take a different approach to life and rededicated his life to Christianity. Tripp and Derek continued to work on the band, writing new songs and music. Unfortunately, those songs would never make it into the studio under the name Twisted Method. On September 16, 2004 the Twisted Method world was saddened by the news that Andy had been found dead in his apartment in Florida. This brought the life of Twisted Method to and end.But with every end, there's a beginning. Tripp and Derek went on to join Edsel Dope and Virus (from Dope) and created Makeshift Romeo. Many of the songs that were written in the later Twisted Method days can still be heard today, just under a different name.
