The Pin-Up Girls are a legendary indie rock band from the Philippines. Originally formed in 1995, it would take the group six yearsto release its first
album. Entitled "Hello Pain", the album was completely funded independently by the group, and receivedtremendous acclaim in the underground pinoy
rock scene. Their indie fame managed to leak overseas, and in 2002, the groupsigned to the Washington-based label, Know-It-All Records, making the
group the first Filipino band to be signed to an Americanrecord label. Today, The Pin-Up Girls enjoy an international following, and are arguably one of
the most well known indie rockbands the pinoy rock scene has to offer.
