Schaft

Schaft was an electro-industrial metal band from Japan. Composed of Maki Fujii of Soft Ballet and Hisashi Imai of Buck-Tick, Schaft only released one full length album, "Switchblade", and one remix album which was entitled "Switch", both of which were released in 1994. The group went on a mysterious hiatus in 1996, until they suddenly resurfaced in 1999, remixing a track for the group Zilch, which was fronted by the highly influential Japanese musician, hide. However, Schaft re-entered their unannounced hiatus. On October 3, 2015, Schaft announced their reunion, together with dates for the oncoming TOUR ULTRA –The Loud Engine–.
