Santeria was born in the murky swamplands of Louisiana in 1994 and comprises of members from India to the backwoodsoftheDeep South. Their music is described on their ReverbNation page as "somehow retooling the basics of “southernrock”andmodifying it into a new and inspired form—relatively free of Confederate clichés and beer guzzling drunkenness -concentratingtheir creative energies on expressing the isolationand loneliness of the modern south - at times loudandoverbearing andalternately quiet, subdued, and withdrawn."They are known for their frontman, Brother Dege whosesoloproject has featured in the Django Unchained soundtrack.
