The album was a slight hit and produced some moderately popular singles, although Queen Pen later left Interscope by 1999, and she didn’t release her second album, “Conversations with Queen”, until 2001, nearly four years after the “My Melody” album. Presumably due to the album’s heavily delayed release, it failed to perform well on the charts as it barely entered the Billboard at all, as it reached a peak position at number 134, and Queen Pen then retired from the hip hop scene by 2003, although she is currently active as a novelist. « hide
