Named after a Slayer song, Necrophobic was formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1989. The band wanted to create a darker kind of Death Metal than what was being played at the time. With their second full-length album, "Darkside", Necrophobic incorporated a more black metal based sound into their music.
