Springfield, Illinois indie rock band Looming recently signed to No Sleep Records. The band released their debut full-length Nailbiter on
Aug. 14. Looming consists of vocalist and bassist Jessica Knight, guitarist and vocalist Jordan Fein, guitarist Mitch Baker and drummer and
vocalist Brandon Carnes. The band formed in 2013 in Springfield, and released a self-titled EP in 2013, which is available at Bandcamp.
Both Nailbiter and Looming itself are held in high regard by the staff at Alternative Press. In the September 2015 issue

Both Nailbiter and Looming itself are held in high regard by the staff at Alternative Press. In the September 2015 issue
AltPress' review awarded the album 4.5 out of 5 stars. The following month Looming appeared in the AltPress Recommends section
of the magazine.
Their sound is part alt-rock, part Indie, with Knight's quirky vocals blending with surprisingly developed musicianship. For a debut album from
the middle of flyover country, their sound is tight, just familiar enough yet also fresh and accessible. Guitarists Baker and Fein trade duties on
lead and rhythm, using pop-influenced hooks that will keep these songs in your head. The band's lyrics are deeply personal but also very
relatable. Their songs have a point, a message and that message is ultimately positive. Give them a listen - I think most of you will like their
