Lil' Troy, born Troy Birklett, is a rapper from Houston, Texas. He had incredible success throughout 1998 and 1999 due to the
success of his debutsingle "Wanna Be a Baller", which propelled the album it originated from, "Sittin' Fat Down South", to
become certified platinum. Although he neveragain came close to repeating this type of success, Lil' Troy went on to release
two more albums, and although he hasn't released any material since2006, Lil' Troy remains a legendary figure in the Houston
rap scene.
