Jackyl is a legendary Southern hard rock band from Georgia that have been active since its formation in 1987. Perhaps bestknown for their 1992
single "The Lumberjack" (which features an actual "chainsaw solo"), the group had moderate mainstreampopularity in the early 1990's, although it
disintegrated almost entirely by the end of the decade. Nonetheless, Jackyl are stillactive today after over 30 years together, and remain one of the
most significant Southern hard rock bands to catch mainstreampopularity in decades.
