Formed in 1999 by Rick Froberg and John Reis of seminal San Diego post-hardcore band Drive Like Jehu (and Rocket From The Crypt, in Reis' case), Hot Snakes bring a high-octane brand of punk rock to the forefront, combining the raw energy and techy, abrasive, angularguitar riffs of Drive Like Jehu's prog-punk sound with four-on-the-floor, aggressive rock. After releasing three full-length albums over the last few years, Hot Snakes (as well as Rocket From The Crypt) were quietly disbanded in 2005. Their last release was 2004's Audit In Progress.
