Hi-Posi is an indie pop band that formed in 1988. Initially a solo project of charismatic frontwoman, Miho Moribayashi, Hi-Posi
originally had a broad, experimental style which often took influences from world music and folk. However, by 1997, Hi-Posi
adopted a more approachable, electronic-inspired style. Hi-Posi appeared to have disintegrated by 2002, but reemerged in 2008
for a few more years of touring, before disappearing once more in 2010.
