Genoa was a crossover/heavy metal band that first formed in 1985. The group developed a slight following for their quirkysound, which had numerous
ska and grind influences, which could make Genoa a comparable predecessor to bands like RealReggae. Genoa eventually ended up disbanding in
1992, but they still have a passionate cult following worldwide for theirsignature sound and style.
