Gas Boys were an experimental hip hop group that formed in 1988. The group were known for their highly eclectic style, which
took influences from hard rock, heavy metal, trip-hop, electronica, and even ambient. Even though they never truly experienced
mainstream fame and recognition, they had one of the hugest cult followings in the indies hip-hop scene. However, the group
ended up splitting by 1997, although Gas Boys have occasionally reunited as of 2001.
